Blessing Of Animals At St. Bernard’s

Dozens of people came to Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church last Friday, Oct. 4 for the traditional Blessing of Animals on the Feast of Saint Francis.

Woof Woof, Meow Meow, Slither Slither

In addition to the many pets, the gathering was joined by various local mascots, representing the school districts within the Saint Bernard Parish area. Pictured are the Bulldog mascot from Island Trees, Father Joe Nohs, Associate Pastor of Saint Bernard’s, “Bernie” the Saint Bernard mascot and the Blue Dragon from Division Ave High School in the Levittown School District.
