American Legion Post 1711 Holds Holiday Food Drive


American Legion Post 1711 located in Levittown held tFoodDrive_113016Aheir annual holiday food drive on Nov. 12. Members of the Post and the Ladies Auxiliary collected food and other donations at the ShopRite at 3901 Hempstead Tpke., in Bethpage and the Walmart Neighborhood Market 3335 Hempstead Tpke., in Levittown.

Special thanks to the management and employees at both locations who helped support the food drive. Thank you also to the patrons of both supermarkets that contributed to the efforts.

The purpose of the food drive is to supply food baskets and turkeys for veterans and local families in need during the Thanksgiving and holiday season.
