Learn to cook at the LPL with this hands-on class from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Mammogram Screenings
The Mammography Van will be at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 3434 Hempstead Tpke., Levittown from 8:45 a.m. to noon. Sponsored by Senator Kemp Hannon. Because the screening can only accommodate 12 people, priority will be given to women who reside in the Sixth Senatorial District, are older than 40 who have never had a mammogram or are due for an annual screening and have no health insurance. Appointments will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 516-739-1700 for information and to make an appointment.

Evening Book Chat
Come discuss the book Deep Down Dark by Héctor Tobar. The book details the untold stories of 33 men buried in a Chilean mine and the miracle that set them free. From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Christmas in November Sale
Holy Trinity Orthodox Church at 369 Green Ave., East Meadow will host its Christmas in November Sale from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Quality handmade gifts from selected craft vendors will be featured. Craft Fair
The Bellmore United Methodist Church will hold their Handmade with Love Crafts Only Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be 30 vendors selling only homemade crafts. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring homemade soups, sandwiches and hot dogs. The church is located at 2838 Royle St., Bellmore.

American Legion Auxiliary 15th Annual Craft Fair

Strong Girls School
It’s not always easy being a girl. Discuss challenges today’s girls face, possible ways to deal with them, beauty and body image and how to build self-esteem. Girls will also make a related craft. Mondays, Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28 and Dec. 5 and 12, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the LPL. Must register.

Levittown Community Council
The Levittown Community Council meets the fourth Monday of every month at the Levittown Public Library at 7:30 p.m. Meetings are open to the public and free.

Camera Club Seeks Members
Are you interested in photography? Then come join the Wantagh Camera Club (WCC). Meets at the Wantagh Library every second and fourth Wednesday of the month beginning in September and concluding in June. $50 a year.
