Michael Gallo of Seaford, was among 1,100 candidates for graduation at Coastal Carolina University’s commencement ceremonies. Gallo graduated with a bachelor of science in recreation and sport management.

Laura Bopp of Wantagh was among The University of Scranton students inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society for education. Bopp is a junior in the Panuska College of Professional Studies at the Jesuit university.

Marlo Jappen of Levittown graduated from Emerson College in Boston. Jappen earned a BFA in Writing Lit and Publishing BFA.

Alexis Alvino of Levittown, made the spring semester dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University. The sophomore is majoring in recreation and sports management.

Melissa Haig of Levittown was one of 54 outstanding SUNY Oneonta students selected to receive a 2016 Academic Achievement Award this spring. Haig received the mathematics, computer science and statistics department award.
